ocean tear?! seriously!? that's not even a phrase that conjures up nice images, i just think of the kid drowning!!!

it's a phenomenon called "Geldof Syndrome" where an individual gives their offspring deliberately outlandish names in order to draw attention to what a vacuous twat they (the parent(s)) truly are.

You, sir, are talking out your arse it's obvious you're having a massive go at Geldof which i think's entirely unfair, yeah okay fair do's he has shite taste in names for his kids but I'm putting that down to Paula Yates more than him and to call him a vacuous twat is entirely uncalled for, how can a man who has more or less bankrupted himself numerous times over trying to bring an end to all the starvation and trouble in Africa be called vacuous, say what you like about Bono for being a poltical arse but Geldof doesnt give a toss about the publicity, he gets publicity and then turns it on to the plight of all the poor buggers over that there big puddle of water and bit of beach.

Rant over.

Seeing as this is about stupid names, I'll get it over and done with I went to school with people called Richard Head, Peter Ian Staker, Chris Peacock, Betty Swollocks, Ivor Biggun and Reginald Arthur Farqhuar Winston Stanley Basin Sink Of The Yard Mongy Mongy Bastard Roll me over in the clover PickMe Up And Do it Again Johnsons Reinderr Behind The Grassyknoll Next To the Third Gunman My Bloody Cats Gone Missing Again Abraham Lincoln Owes me A Fiver Finklesen the Fifth Duke of Toontown.

nothin to do with geldof's charity stuff - he's a vacuous twat for using his kids as a fashion accessory - that's essentially all giving your a kid weird name is. to be fair, he's not the only celebrity to do this, just the first that comes to mind.

kinda disturbing to think that that gimp from coldplay called his sprog "apple" which is probably less of a reference to a fruit, and more of a reference to the makers of the technology with which most of his fans listen to his music on. at least i like to think that, so i feel that little bit more justified in believing chris martin to be a monolithic cockwart.

Again that was more Paula Yates than Geldof and even though Martin called his kid apple the only time I've ever seen him or Paltrow with the kid is when they first came out of the hospital and that was four years ago so I'd hardly say that that's using a kid as a fashion accessory, famous people have always given their kids daft names just look at Frank Zappa naming his kids Dweezil and fucking Moon Unit forgodsakes I don't think it can get any dafter than that.

I'm pretty sure it was almost entirely Yates' fault - after all, her other Kid with Hutchence was saddled with 'Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily'.

if you're zappa's kid though, by the time you'd be old enough to give a shit about your name, you'd already be batshit insane, so no worries!

Yep i'm afraid so, the poor little fucker.

Her friends had the sense to call her O. T., so all is not lost for the kid.

What was it that Viv out of the young ones was going to call his baby - Piss off or something similar?

Unless of course her friends start to call her either Wheaty or Barley.

I was waiting on the train station in Newton-Le-Willows last year and overheard a few 18ish year old girls talking about their friend who had just had a baby.

Kaiser.

After the Kaiser Chiefs.

Seriously.
