Peter Kay

So how many people tried to ring the voting line and was there anything on it??????

Pudu and me tried but the no. flicked off before we could call it.
Can't say I'm a big Peter Kay fan myself, but I nearly did a little wee during Two up and Two downs song with Mr Astley himself. Panning over to an empty chair was just very sick and funny.

The second half was only mildly amusing.

There were flickering moments of funniness amongst reams of absolute rubbish for me. After 45 minutes I couldn't handle any more of it...

I think I'm the only person in the country who didn't watch it. Heard some mixed reviews today, but it's been Sky+'d and will be judged accordingly this evening!

I thought it was bloody awful.

Switched off long before the end.

There were a few laughs at the auditions bit at the start, but nothing special.

Can't stand reality programmes, but I put Strictly come dancing on, which was far more enjoyable

TBH I think Peter kay's had his time already, I'm sure everyone's seen live at the top of the tower and that manchester arena gig he did??, 2 shows, one and the same material, with a few more added bits in the Manchester show.

I know comedians often repeat the stuff that works, but 2 years after the blackpool show and the lack of new material was very evident

'get on t'internet', 'put big light on'......yawn

I have to say I never really thought Peter Kay was that funny at all. He raised a few chuckles but was never really funny. Seems like a nice fella though.

I stopped watching after about 15 minutes, the '2 up 2 down' band name made me laugh but the rest was mostly poor. The judges were terrible at acting and not funny, and it is a bit of an easy target to mock.

He used to do the labour/conservative club circuit near my auntie. I saw him once before he was famous, but he was using the same material then too. Not a big fan, but it beats half the other shit on telly at the moment, Everytime I see anyone vertically challenged person I still think "how far away are they". To be fair I do spend most the day watching Cbeebies or Playhouse Disney so my entertainment needs are slightly squiffy

I have to say i actually do find Peter Kay quite funny.
Phoenix Nights was decent and Max and Paddy was ok in places(like when they had the pig in their van) but that abomination the other night...get yer coat Kay :coat:

His stand-up is great. I have a couple of his dvds but don't recall them being the same material.... mayeb there was some overlap, but he can be f-ing funny.

After 'Phoenix Nights' he was nothing but a washed-up has been without a hint of new material and living off the glories of the past.
The man bores me in a hundred different ways and was a mere flash in the pan with no real future, in short, a one trick pony that has now been exposed as such.
"Garlic Bread"? Oh, do fuck off.
