Led Zepplin without Plant, in my humblest opinion, just isn't Led Zep now is it?

Seems wrong somehow. Almost sacriligous.

Don't get me wrong, other bands have lost their lead singer / toured without their lead singer and have done a very good job of it - The Stranglers being a good example. But this is Led Zeppelin!!! It's Page & Plant's band!!

(doesn't mean I won't buy tickets for any concerts without Plant tho)

If I remember right, didn't Plant & Page do some stuff together a few years ago - that wasn't billed a Led Zep, but certainly had more right to be than if it's Page & Jones.

All the fuss from the Foo Fighter gig at Wembley "Zep reform to play Wembley gig" - no they didn't, it was Page & Jones playing with Dave & Taylor.

No go as far as I'm concerned.

they could, instead of riding on the coattails of their former glories, actually get a new singer, start a NEW band with a NEW name, and actually do something NEW!!!

this goes for all other bands doing the whole reunite-with-different-members thing.

well that's hardly the same thing. the longest gap of inactivity with the wildhearts was only about 4 or 5 years, and there's been a shitload of line-up changes from the start. add to that the fact that the wildies were until recently very much a vehicle for ginger's songwriting.

i probably over-generalised there, but i was generally referring to long-broken-up bands reuniting with new members, especially when the bands in question were known for one distinct line up, i.e. led zep, queen, alice in chains etc. etc.

Even Guns 'n' Roses managed to replace Axl with Weiland

I reckon they (Jones & Page) should get Coverdale to do it - that would reet piss off Percy, and Coverdale would finally become the person he's been trying to be for 30 years!
