But on the upside, it probably means Alter Bridge are splitting up?

I read a couple of days ago that the Alter Bridge singer is an option for the Plant Jones Bonham thingie... which means that someone in the Zep must've heard them and liked something about it... which is disturbing.

I'm doubting it.
When Creed spilt, the guys who formed Alter Bridge weren't exactly complimentary towards their ex singer.
The most Spinal tap bit was when the bass player said "Pearl Jam wish they had a singer as good as Scott Stapp".
Stapp apologised to Pearl Jam and then sacked the bassist.

Whilst there are times I'm proud to read this board, the often voiced dislike of Alterbridge is a mind numbing concept to encounter - Yes there maybe a basis from Creed but the new music is a million miles away and shouldn't be overshadowed by the past.
And on the subject of their singer, Myles Kennedy has one of the most powerful voices in rock music and he delivers every single note live, something which many other so called great-live bands fail to manage.
Having been one of the lucky few to have been to the Led Zep reunion gig, I wouldn't encourage anyone to hold their breath waiting for another show from them in the near future - with or without Robert Plant, as they've not cashed in on the video footage recorded at the O2 yet. Not that they would... *ahem* but that's bound to be milked before anymore shows are touted.
