Here's to hoping he wins, that'll wipe the smile of that smug coldplay bastards face.
What Mrs Sarc sees in him I'll never know;

There's links at the bottom of the article so you can "judge for yourself". IMO there's a passing resemblance in the underlying melody but nothing more than that. Old Joe has obviously fallen on hard times and if he wins then Chris Martin might have to go back on his pledge to retire soon

Not being funny but it's a pretty simple melody that has probably been used many a time before Mr Satriani was even born. After all there are only 12 notes

It's a pretty generic melody. Smacks of desperation of Satch's part, I'd say.
Next week: Slipknot sue Belle and Sebastian.

I would suggest listening to Iron Maiden's Revelations, then list to Emerson, Lake & Palmer - A Time A Place, and see if you can see where they nicked the idea from.

You've got me started on one now.
Try some of these that have bugged me for years.
Kiss's Hard Luck Woman is very similar to Rod Stewart's You Wear It Well
Britney Spears' Oops I Did It Again is Barbra Streisand's Woman in Love speeded up
Cities on Flame' by Blue Oyster Cult is simply The Wizard by Sabbath.
