Ash do something really cool

Postby Damian » 19th May 09, 23:10

I like Ash. And I like the cheeky idea they've just come up with.

There's a free song for download on their website now (http://www.ash-official.com). Then from September they're releasing a single every fortnight for a year. 26 in all, starting with each letter of the alphabet in turn.

Well, I like the idea anyway, but I've always been a big Ash fan!

I heard they were going to be a 'singles - only' band , seemed like a long time ago they announced that. It sounds an interesting idea plus Ash always seemed to have great singles and not quite so great albums anyway..

Didn't someone try something like that before? Ah yes... Ginger! Let's see if it works (admittedly it's probably easier download only!)

On the downside, it's only likely to be mp3s which certainly won't be CD quality and you don't really get anything to keep

Ah, I misread the post I quoted as meaning that it was download only.
In that case - cool, though I've never really listened to much by them

The MP3 for Return of White Rabbit is a very high bitrate, and I'd imagine the tracks for purchase will be too.

I kind of like a physical product, but I have limited space and 26 singles is a lot! I'm hoping one of the options will be the fortnightly download and a CD compilation at the end...

The new track's odd but I like it. It does sound a LOT like Klaxons, mind. Good job I like them too.

Sorry (I'm not really) but I'm quite pissed now.
