Can list the bands I was obsessed with but can't do it in order, cos some of them overlapped and it'd get all awkward with arrows pointing all over the place

Ginger (in all his forms...yes, I even liked Clam Abuse)
Kiss
Bruce Springsteen
Def Leppard
Bob Dylan
The Almighty
Manic Street Preachers
How dare you!

Love the fact you put Wildhearts above Izzy - given their history! :D

I'm sure I got an email on myspace from Wendy James :D

No laughing now, I was a product of the 70's.

These are in chronologiacl order: -

1. Frankie Goes To Hollywood - I was young ok!
2. Sigue Sigue Sputnik - The band that every one hated, I had to like them
3. KISS - I still love them til this day, I even have a Gene Simmons tattoo
4. The Wildhearts - what can I say, they ROCK!!!!
5. Ginger - The man himself, writer of some of the finest music I ever heard. If I could write a song half as good as one of his I'd be a very happy Dave.

The Wildhearts
Silver Sun
Radiohead
Terrorvision
Blur
Madness
Metallica
Manic Street Preachers
Franz Ferdinand
Clearlake
Muse
Orbital

Between that lot, you can find everything I'm into pretty much. Powerpop, showmanship, riffs, a bit of techno and no moaning. (Nope, I don't think Radiohead are moaners... in their music at least)

Yeah, I know I remember going to an Izzy gig in 1993 when the 'hearts supported. One of those once in a lifetime gigs for me.

You're right about Wendy, her new band are called Racine and they're awesome. I've been in touch with her a few times and even met her last year. Very small but one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in real life.

Cheers.

From about 1970 onwards, my biggest influences have been (in kind of a chronological, but not necessarily influential order):

Rolling Stones
Alice Cooper
Led Zeppelin
Kiss (up til '79)
Aerosmith (old school)
Rush
Motorhead
Wildhearts / Ginger
"Some Days Just Fucking Suck"
