Bulldog Bash

Postby andy_b » 8th Aug 06, 16:38

So it's only 2 days til the Bulldog Bash, where I shall sit in a field drinking beer, eating an assortment of barbequed meat, whilst taking in a fine selection of bands and watching people see how fast they can take their bikes down the 1/4 mile drag strip.

Anyone else partaking in the Bash this year?

Think he's off to Japan isn't he, so I don't think there'll be any sort of suprise show by him! We'll have to make do with The Almighty and Pitchshifter (and The Answer and Skindred) instead, which I'm perfectly happy with!

Also, if you ain't seen them before, The Authentics are playing on the second stage/unsigned bands stage at some point, so try and catch them if you can, cos they're pretty damn good!

The bulldog was fucking awesome!

Best Bands: Hells bells, Skindred, Paradise Lost, Rattlesnake Remedy, The Almighty, Chas and Dave (!), Isiah, The Answer

Didn't catch the authentic ni the end went to have a look what time they were on and missed them, the festival ruled so much though, fucking awesome.

The Bulldog was aces! 8)

I made sure I was down the front, on the barrier for Skindred after not being able to get in the tent at Download. The Almighty were brilliant and it was nice to see The Dogs too. Then there was the "Adult Entertainment" tent...

Yep, had a great time at the weekend. The Almighty were fantastic, as were Pitchshifter and The Answer. The Authentics suffered from no monitors on the stage, but they came out OK on our side anyway.

And it's always fun to watch the drag strip, and that stunt driver (Terry Grant I think?) doing his tricks.

And the two suprise bands of the weekend, Dogs d'Amour (albeit stripped down, with Rich Halo kicking ass on guitar), and Chas 'n' Dave!

Chas 'n' f**kin' Dave! Can you believe it? Don't think I could, but then I was a bit drunk by that point :)
