Sorry about the download, but it's unlikely to ever surface in public again for reasons that will become increasingly obvious.

Hilarious, when you read Ean's background to it.

How did they think they could get away with that??
Why would anyone even try a rip off like that??

Oh God, I just noticed the straight lift from Nita Nitro, at first I thought it was just a Weekend rip-off.

There was also the 'Live with Chris Moyles' channel 5 tv thing? I'm sure the one time it was on and I wasn't quick enough to put a brick through the telly before it started, the theme tune was a total rip-off of the Anthem riff.
A quick search reveals the theme was the work of Vibe Music Imaging, who now appear to be music4.
Found the theme here - http://chrismoyles.net/mw/video.shtml# - scroll down a bit for it. Not as much of an exact copy as I remember, but definitely influenced.
Terrified, intoxiciated,
Starry eyed and bollock naked...

Jaysus how did they even think they'd get away with that one?!?! Great collection of melodies there tho....

I always thought the main vocal of Chelsea Dagger always had a bit of the Girlfriend Clothes riff going on as well....

I think the start of that sounds a bit like Girlfriend Clothes.

there's a bit in extreme's "comfortably dumb", the beginning of the outro, that sounds like one of the riffs from "ocd". just sayin', that's all. :P

Check out the riff to the Supersuckers "Luck" compared to "Girlfriend Clothes". Pretty close to identical. I'm not sure which came first though.

Shit yeah that is very similar, Supersuckers song was apparently on a '92 release so I guess that means it came first.

Not really a soundalike - but when I was about (in 1998) I was in Sinagpore visitting my father had only been into the Wh for s short period of time. I came across a band called "Suckerpunch" in a record store out there, and in my enthusiasm for the WH I bought it - semi aware that there was no chance of any WH related material on it. However, I was gifted with a CD - I think the only ever release - of one of the most finely crafted, skillfully woven and beautiful mastered punk albums ever released.

Fuck, I just found them on MySpace - listen to their s/t song it's bloody brilliant.
