What song does Warner Hodges play lead on?

There's always a chance that what's printed isn't entirely accurate, tbh I have no idea and just posted what I could find.

Anyway TALKING of Warner Hodges brings me to my sugestion for a singer to appear on a Ginger album:

Dan Baird (Georgia Satellites / Dan Baird & Homemade Sin)

Dan Baird and Ginger are two of my favourite singer/songwriters (and between them are responsible for some of the best live shows I've been to) so I'd definitely agree with you on that one!.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Butch Walker. I just imagined him singing two songs at random and I reckon he'd really do them justice (The Man Who Cheated Death, Yeah Yeah Yeah).

Andy Cairns was mentioned- he had a cameo on TWMBD...and as he ripped off Shame On Me (Stories), I guess he's already had his shot ;oP

I second the shout for Nick Cave. Casino Bay springs to mind.

...and maybe all the bands from "Stop Me If You've Heard This" should record their own album of WH covers (!).

Think it's been said before, but a Ginger solo album with significant vocal guest duties doesn't really appeal to me. Ginger writes the lyrics and the passion / execution of delivery is not portable. Without doubt I'd buy it, but for me just wouldn't be the same.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't agree. "The Perilous Burden..." wasn't sung by Ginger and I think it's a fantastic song. And something like 'Couple Trouble' is not the sort of vocal you'd ever hear from Ginger - it's just not his style.

So whilst Ginger's got a great voice for many songs, his voice has physical limitations - like all vocalists. Getting other people to sing opens up the possibilities, which is surely a good thing?

Plus, he's always saying he wants more help on vocals...although I really hope he doesn't go too far down that avenue and stops singing altogether.

Siberian Angel is one of my fave Ginger songs - in spite of it having another singer. Having said that, I feel that it would still be one of my fave's if Ginger was singing it.

In short, I have nothing to contribute to this thread. I'm going to stop clicking on it.
