From Wallsend

First WH song - can't remember - I remember Ginger leaving The Quireboys and joining The Throbs for 10 minutes but I can't remember the exact first time I heard The Wildhearts.

First gig - Supporting AC/DC at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, thought they were bloody awful as well ! :D They went down like a lead balloon and Ginger threw a strop at the end.

Detroit here and the first tune I'd heard was Stormy In The North, Karma In The South.

Met Ginger briefly at the Clutch Cargo's (ripped the place up) show here.... exceded my expectations on how nice the guy is!

Hey all! I'm from Bristol originally but now sadly stuck in Gloucester for the forseeable future...

Think the first Widlie's song I heard was Caffeine bomb on some Kerrang compliation and I was probably about 14 at the time. Needless to say it was the beginning of the end for me and my mum never forgave them for getting me into all things punky!!!! :P

I'm from Sydney, Australia originally & born to Geordie parents, grew up in London & Newcastle and am now living in Perth, Australia.

1st song: 'Nothing Ever Changes' on Raw Power. Remember being surprised at how good the song was, considering the wimpiness of the band's name

Then 'Earth Vs.' came out, and I sold my soul to the Smileybones!

I wouldn't WH is a wimpy name. In fact I think it's one of the coolest (if not the coolest) band names ever.

I live in Rock Ferry, Wirral (the safe side of the river Mersey  ).

First exposure to the band was the uncensored video for Lovebank on a compilation video I got from Sonically Speaking (I only bought it for the Backyard Babies stuff!) The video was a laugh but the song didn't do alot for me.
I knew of Ginger as being an influence on the Babies, and from Super$hit 666 so then bought the Best Of for a fiver. Fell in love in an instant and have collected anything and everything I could find WH related!

Newton-le-Willows.

Home of rick Astley, and erm... not much else. Slap bang in between Manchester and Liverpool really.

First song was turning american. Can't for the life of me remember who gave me the tape...

I'm from Leicester. Or Lestoh as the locals call it. Although I'm originally from Thurrock in Essex, I've been up here nearly eight years, so I call it home.

First thing I heard of the Wildies was a compilation tape my mate made me which had Miles Away Girl on it, which I thought was ok and then forgot about, and a broadcast on radio 1 from the Glasgow barrowlands that started with Who Shit You Got Through which absolutely converted me.

Well, yeah, I agree now. I was talking about me 14 years ago, before I grew a brain

From Liverpool, now living in the sprawling metropolis that is Chesterfield.

First song was TV Tan on the rock show on the evil Radio 1. Then went out a couple of days later and found Mondo Akimbo in HMV, bought it, and loved it.

First saw 'em live supporting The Almighty in Aberdeen.

Haven't looked back since.
How dare you!
