On two occasions I have found at a local used store, two discs for $10 that I knew to be worth in the hundreds.
-Nickelback's first EP, Hesher - sold it for $400 on eBay
-Matthew Good Band EP, Lo-Fi B-sides, sold if for $150 on eBay, it has since been rendered useless by the "in a Coma" compilation as its three tracks are no longer exclusive
-I also bought a few items on eBay at "Buy It Now" because I knew their value was higher - it was my good fortune to find them before anyone else:
-Fuel's indie EP Hazleton, bought for $6, sold for $40
-Butch Walker's pre-Marvelous 3 band, the Floyds - bought for $25, sold for $150
-The Tea Party's self-titled 1991 debut, bought for $100, sold for $300
these were all items I already had my personal copies of, and therefore was used to searching for them and was well aware of their rarity and value.
