Erm , Wildhearts related it was probably the Suckerpunch cd promo with 29x The Pain , with Ginger jumping on the cover. It was about 10 quid on ebay buy it now. It was the first time I had ever seen it on ebay after searching for it for the past few years.

Actually finding something in a shop. Maiden England , Live cd. I had the video of it years and years ago then found the cd version in cardiff last year. It was about 5 quid :)

Oh and I saw the Mondo Akimbo ep in a shop in swansea about 3 or 4 years ago. Think the price was between £30 - 50. Kinda glad I never bought it as I later got it for about £20.

But nevertheless I was in shock when I saw it there.

On two occasions I have found at a local used store, two discs for $10 that I knew to be worth in the hundreds.

-Nickelback's first EP, Hesher - sold it for $400 on eBay
-Matthew Good Band EP, Lo-Fi B-sides, sold if for $150 on eBay, it has since been rendered useless by the "in a Coma" compilation as its three tracks are no longer exclusive

-I also bought a few items on eBay at "Buy It Now" because I knew their value was higher - it was my good fortune to find them before anyone else:

-Fuel's indie EP Hazleton, bought for $6, sold for $40
-Butch Walker's pre-Marvelous 3 band, the Floyds - bought for $25, sold for $150
-The Tea Party's self-titled 1991 debut, bought for $100, sold for $300

these were all items I already had my personal copies of, and therefore was used to searching for them and was well aware of their rarity and value.

Nojahoda full album promo for a quid.

Probably not worth anything like that much, but I've had well over a quid's worth of listening pleasure from it!

Rumours that it had a £5 sticker on it and was in the "everything for £1" box, thus resulting in a quick sticker swap are *greatly* exaggerated...

Wahey, great band! Still gutted Skid Solo (the second album) was never released.

Best bargain for me was back in '99. I was browsing through the second-hand section in ST Records, Dudley when I came across the CD of Mondo Akimbo A Go-Go for £7. I think in various other places it was floating around the £50 mark. Had the tracks, obviously, but it was nice to add to the collection.

My bro found Metallica's Jump in the Fire vinyl at a boot sale for 50p. It's actually worth about £30. That's pretty good.

wildhearts related would be an almost mint condition fishing for luckies for 12 quid.

otherwise, probably an old vinyl of pink floyd's first single "see emily play/scarecrow" it's got a coupla paint splats and is missing the cover, but i think if i can clean it up somehow, it could be worth significantly more than the 20p i paid for it in a charity shop.
