Got some good ones coming up:-

The More I See in Rushden,
Wildhearts at Milton Keynes,
G.U.Medicine at Kettering,
Vice Squad in Rushden,
Assassins of Silence (Hawkwind Tribute) in Northampton.

I was also thinking about going to see a coupla blasts from the past: Diamondhead, Onslaught and Girlschool (all separate gigs). Comments please - would these last 3 still be worth the ticket price???

Have to say that February and March have been a bit quiet gig wise but over the next few months I have:-

Wildhearts @ Koko and Milton Keynes
Buckcherry / Backyard Babies @ Mean Fiddler
Paradise Lost @ Koko
Type O Negative @ Astoria
Aerosmith @ Hyde Park
Muse @ Wembley
Wednesday 13 @ Mean Fiddler

and no doubt some local gigs.

Had a wish list of bands to see at the beginning of this year and some have been ticked off already. Just waiting for Metallica, Max Cavalera fronted Sepultura, Metallica, Dwarves, Turbonegro, Peter Pan Speedrock, Rage Against The Machine and The Hellacopters now.

Metallica may well be playing Wembley stadium on July 8th and with Chris Cornell leaving Audioslave, RATM may well be making a comeback.

Jayvee, I saw Girlschool support Motorhead and they were OK - I was never a huge fan but they could still play and sounded OK. My mate did comment they look like school dinner ladies nowdays though !

Well, we saw The Answer on Friday, our third time to see 'em, and they kicked seven shades of arse out of the place 8) . Seriously I haven't seen a better live performance for quite a while (and I've seen The Wildhearts, Sonic Circus and Maiden in the last 12 months!). They are the real deal and if they don't take off like an Apollo mission the world should hang its colective head in shame.
My favourite bands for a long long time have been the Wildhearts/Ginger and Maiden, they have definitely now been joined (not ousted, mind) by The Answer. Go see 'em - you owe it your ears. :)

Tonight I'm seeing Crowded House's first gig in 11 years, since the final one to over 100000 people next to the Sydney Opera House. It's at the Thekla, a 300 capacity boat in Bristol, a few minutes walk from my flat.

I'm not making this up.
