won't work for me either when it says insert cd, i do but it dos'nt recognise that there's a cd in there ?

Start up itunes.

Go into edit menu > preferences > advanced > burning.

And check that the 'Audio CD' option is selected. If you use the others, I'm pretty sure the copy protection will be copied across with the rest of the data.

Y'know, I reckon if there'd been more swearing in the song, the beeps could have formed part of the the rhythm of the song

Fantastic song though, and lots of trademark twists and turns throughout the song to keep you guessing what's coming next.

Can't wait for the album release now...and the tour...and the Japanese version of the album...want it all now!!

Got mine through the eMusic free trial too. The beeps were a little surprising at first but I got used to them now. Rockin' tune. Played it about 6 times at lunch it ain't got boring yet. Roll on 23rd (and the 5th!)

After more listens than I care to say today, I am reminded why I've never started a band. I think I've got some decent tunes in me but I know I'd be competitive. And I hear stuff like this single and realise that I'd never write anything remotely as good as Ginger at his best. "Ginger at his best" being 99% of his recorded output...

Hey Damian, if everyone had that attitude then there would only be one band in the world and that would be The Wildhearts. Balls to that, form a band. Tell you what, if you can play the drums then how would you like to come down to Southampton and form a band with me? It's been far too long since I played music properly ...

Anyhoo, so The Sweetest Song ... I just figured out how to download it (after much faffing ... bloody iTunes!) and I love it to bits. And that includes the beeps, the Na Nas and the deliberately cheesy key changes. And yes, the verse does sound a lot like the bit between Schitzophonic and Do The Channel Bop

Been listening to this all day, and it just keeps getting better. To me, the beeps are utterly hysterical. In fact, I can't help but think of Chris Morris as Fur-Q on 'The Day Today':

And does the stacatto riffing in the 'Na na na' bit remind anyone else of Devin Townsend (Infinity-era esp), or is it just me?
