Oxford meetup?

Postby Trudi » 25th Apr 07, 01:24

A couple of people were mentioning a pre-gig drinky - has a venue been chosen for this?
I do remember going to a pub near the Zodiac once (the only other time I've been to a gig there), but can't for the life of me remember exactly where, or what it was called...the ol' brain cells aren't what they used to be!

I haven't arranged anything with anyone yet, nae. Not sure what's best, I'm not an Oxford local, am travelling from Reading.

But I'd definitely be up for catching a drink, I'm bringing my housemates and chums to their first ever Wildhearts gig! We're getting to Oxford early afternoon hopefully, so we'll be well up for a drink. I know I can't wait to meet some other Wildhearts fans!

Perhaps if anyone else attending the Zodiac gig knows the pub Trudi might be thinking of? Hehe.

EDIT: Aaaaactually, I do remember, not far down the road there is a Scream pub. Seemed alright to me. Went there last year before a gig.

Me mate Chris said there's a half decent pub about 50 yards down from the Zodiac.
I'll chat to him later and see if he can remember what it's called.

I remember the pub, but not the name. Or do I? Who knows, there are so many pubs involved in Wildhearts gigs!

I remember the last time I was there, most people being quite subdued due to, um, fragility following the previous night's escapades!

Sorry, but it's suddenly occurred to me that I'm really f**kin' looking forward to Oxford!
Think it must be all the talk in the other threads about the shows so far, but I really can't wait now!

That was all :D

And it could well be the Hobgoblin, opposite Tesco's.

Or it might be somewhere else ;)

Probably look for the bunch of people with an above average Wildhearts tshirt quota ;)

Not sure what I'll be wearing, but I'll probably have my leather jacket with WH logo on the back, and 'alterative' smiley-bones :) Also, I'm not sure what time we'll be there cos the missus is at work, and we're coming from Nottingham. That really helps doesn't it?
