Who's coming to the london gig?

At this moment I may or may not be on my own in the afternoon, as my mate isn't sure if he's got to work (long story involving a semi-ridiculous promise made to his now employers so he'd get headhunted by them).

I'll be in town from sort of mid afternoon I hope (it very much depends on traffic between the Midlands and London and whether they're closing the railway between Woolwich and New Cross again this weekend... :roll:

You should be OK, engineering is on the Lewisham/Sidcup line this weekend and they don't *usually* shut both branches. There was a fire round New Cross/Deptford way yesterday affecting the trains, but allegedly that's all clear now.

The tube is off on the Northern Line between Kennington and Camden on the Bank branch for anyone that would have been using that.

My feelings exactly - I think it's a horrible venue and a real rip-off joint - one of my least favourite in London.

It seems to me just a place for seperating students from their grant/parents handout money. But if that's where the Wildhearts are playing then that's where I'll have to go...

That's the best plan - do as much as possible of your drinking beforehand in the much more reasonably priced (for London) Purple Turtle first. They have Newcastle Brown in there these days.
