Nobody said you couldn't agree with a review. That was never questioned. However, what I think 29xthejames did take a little offense to (me too, actually) was your sarcasm toward the people who don't agree with the review. Surely both opinions are allowed without warranting criticism of being 'blinkered' as implied by yourself, and as stated by Shadow.

And where's this "we" and "you" rubbish come from again? As Stuart said - we're all drawn here together as fans of the music, whether that's for one project or many, it shouldn't make a difference. Why the 'taking sides'?

Everyone should be able to post whatever opinion of a review/gig/release they like, of course, not everyone is going to agree. But if everyone shared the same opinion the world would be a very dull place.

So, please, can we drop this now? Let's not turn an innocent little review thread into a personal argument eh?

Play nicely boys

Thing is, The Wildhearts are just the kind of band that Uncut should be creaming themselves over - there's all the rock 'n' roll drama plus some cracking underrated (outside of the band's core fanbase) records. They've probably got a hell of an article prepared for when Ginger finally pegs it, that's usually how these shifty buggers usually work, innit?

I used to subscribe to that mag, but I got a bit fed up with it after a couple of years - towards the end I wasn't even bothering to take the CDs out of the shrinkwrap.

That said, I'm not gonna get all worked up over the fact that they guy they decided to give it to didn't like it - thought it was telling that he was particularly keen on 'Destroy All Monsters', which I'm not too fussed about meself.

I would've included an allusion to the typo, but I'm scared to be labelled elitist.

Personally I think it's an actual spelling error rather than a typo.

;)

Other than that I am totally with you!

Give a fuck tbh :) Post was written in about 30 seconds as a reply to what I saw as a particularly smug rude post. Just thought i'd reply in the same way.

Wouldn't claim for a second to have perfect spelling or grammar but well done for noticing the single glaring error in 20 odd lines of rushed text. Your medals winging its way to you in the post as we speak......
