Hotel share in NYC?

Hi all - I can fly to NYC for the Don HIlls shows for a couple hundred dollars - but the prices of hotels are a bit insane - i have found a Holiday Inn about 0.38 miles from the club - for about $179/night. Anybody want to split the cost of a room? I'm sure we can get one with two beds. I am thinking of getting in on the 3rd to try and do a little cruising around (my Mom is from Brooklyn, but the only place I was ever in NY was a club called "'Amours a long time ago) - probably stay 3 nights and head out the day after the second show. Anyone want to go in on this?

That just sounds SCARY! Just sayin'!! It is literally next door to CBGB's and the homeless shelter. Better double check that one my dear's!

I'll pay the $179 a nite to be right close to the club (1/3 of a mile is nothing) and to stay a ta decent place (I'm assuming the Holiday Inn will be decent) - but just think that if I can save someone else from having to do the same it'd be cool. Also taht 80-90 saved per night can go towards merch, food & beer

Hopefully there are some other out of towners headed out there and someone will want to split it - I'm gonna see if I cant get a room with 2 queens (beds that is lol) just in case someone ends up wanting one of em.

Just checking on my grandfather's travel schedule before i go ahead and book hotel & airfare. I know he's headed out west here for a few days in april - want to make sure i get to see him - he's as hard to pin down as Ginger

OKay - I'm gonna try to save some $$$ by flying in on the 4th and not the 3rd - but I did get a double room (2 beds anyway) - at the Howard Johnsons - for the 4th & 5th, checking out the 6th - i even got a smoking room - just in case - I'm flexible. Anyone needing a place to crash - let me know - I think it was like $189 a nite (plus 13% tax - damn) - so I got my flight, hotel & 1st night ticket - apparently the 2nd night is at the door only - I better not get screwed out of that show or I'll end up on the news

Hey Jeff-

I can't help you with the room sharing thing as I'm already traveling with a roommate, but there are a bunch of people driving in from Pittsburgh, PA. I can ask around among the guys to see if anyone is interested in the room share option.

Otherwise, it's good to know that people will be coming from all over the country to support Ginger in NYC. We should get Ginger to ask from stage how many people are there from out of town to see if we'll outnumber the locals!
