Yeah the supports definitely had shocking sound! Machine Head didn't sound too bad to me because I was in the crowd so you kinda felt it instead of hearing it, but they were all pretty mushed.

I got an armpit in my face that smelt of fish and chips(and not nice fish and chips at that!) *shudders* That's mainly when I kept getting shouted at and punched,![]()

Lucky I didn't get stopped at Gatwick. He's got light hair for God's sake!

bon jovi, u2 etc have had them at their gigs over the last few years. ( i certainly remember it at hyde park for bon jovi )

Brilliant stuff........brutal as ever!
I nearly went to that gig (Metallica @ MK Bowl 93'), however, Guns n' Roses were playing the same venue the weekend before, I could only go to one of the gigs (I was only 13) and had to choose which one, I chose Guns n' Roses. It's a shame as I would of loved to have seen The Almighty around that era'.
It was a pretty damn fine day out!
And who remembers the PA being shit for Diamond Head, The Almighty and Megadeth, then all of a sudden, when Metallica came on stage, it was perfect????

Erm, no... I was just pointing out that they had shite sound. A problem that mysteriously vanished when Metallica came on.
Oh, when I said 'sat through', it was just the logistics of the venue. Milton Keynes Bowl is an amphitheatre with grass banks around it, if you're not standing on the floor, it's really too steep (ask the guys who were at G'n'R the week before who turned it into a pretty impressive mudslide) to stand up all day comfortably (oh, and it was one of the hottest days of the summer too, hence lots of laying around feeling lazy)
