The Driven

Postby DAZ » 29th Jul 07, 20:08

Yesterday I was playing the one album by The Driven and thought what a great album it was and was gutted that I never got to see them live.

Anyone else remember them and know what they are up to now?

Add them to bands I never saw but wish I had of done, along with Flyscreen and Whatever.

I loved all of those bands but tragically don't have albums by any of them. I've got a signed 7" EP by The Driven, a single by Flyscreen & a few murky radio recordings of Whatever.

According to the Gods of Myspace, The Driven exist & will record new stuff soon - have a look at www.myspace.com/thedrivenireland - I think a couple of the tunes on there are new.

Flyscreen apparently have reformed in some form or other & a 'best of...' album will surface at some point. And they may (or may not) have one or more recent albums out. Nice 'n' vague - just how I like it. :? What is certain is that 'Girls Can't Make Gun Noises' is one of the greatest album titles EVER! - www.myspace.com/flyscreen.

On a side note, I would be eternally grateful if you could somehow send me any bits & bobs by either band, I've looked & they're murder to get hold of. I'll gladly swap for any good stuff I might have that you're missing - I've got one or two classics from that era.

Good lord. Never thought I'd hear about The Driven again.

I remember getting a Kerrap! cover disk which had "Killer" on it. It was just about the only song I liked. I am the proud owner of 3 CDs by the Driven now - all singles ('Jesus loves you more if you can drive', 'Seubles and Mushes' and one other, the name of which escapes me. I'll have to dig it up and see if it's as good as I remember...)
