Return of the metal smileybones badge please!

Postby godzillas beard » 28th Mar 07, 14:57

If the powers that be are listening can I humbly request bringing back the metal badges like the one in the link below:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-WILDHEARTS-ME ... dZViewItem

I stupidly never bought one when I saw them at a gig in Southampton many years ago and now they go on ebay for anything upto £35. There's obviously a demand for them and besides, it would look good on my guitar strap :D

In fact with the rabid fanatacism of us Wildies fans i'm surprised there isn't more merchandise available for us to throw our hard earned cash at. I know I would.

The really annoying thing is my mates got one cos he trod on one at the gig and it stuck to the bottom of his shoe. He thought it was a drawing pin but turned out to be the badge. Jammy sod :?

Don't need one as i've got a 'Smileybones' firmly tattooed on the top of my left arm!!
Who an I kidding,I'd probably still buy a badge at a gig though!

Looking at the site I think you just email them with your address and what you want and they then send you their paypal details to send the money to. I might give it a go cos a fancy a couple of the shirts and the stickers.

Annoyingly, I bought one for a friend's birthday in '95. It wasn't appreciated enough - should've kept it for myself, mumble.

Aw I had one of these things - it was on the leather jacket I accidentally left behind when I moved to Oz. My mates were supposed to mail the jacket to me, but I was soon to discover that my mates were bastards, 'cause I never saw it again. Would love a new one - my new jacket's looking awfully bare!

At the top of this thread ,there's an ad on ebay ,for some reason i have no pic in the advert?
Anyway ,i have dug out (attic!) 2 of the Smiley Bones logo badges ,knew i had 'em somewhere.
Dated 1994 on the back .
Was thinkin of ebay cos i have seen what they fetch!!

I would rather flog it to a listee , so if anyone is up for serious offers, then pm me.
i can get u a pic sent if u wish .
Also i'm at Nottm. rock city next sat. nite ,u could view or pick it up there off of me .6 Oct
