i havent seen the wildhearts live for about 10 years and it was really great to see last night that they havent lost it one bit.

absolutely brilliant gig, even the bit where i went ass over tit in during caffiene bomb, thankfully someone helped me up.

ever since i found out they were playing there (i couldnt believe they would play locally to me) i was so excited. its just a shame that its done and gone, over so soon.

thanks to all that went to the gig too. a good crowd can make the difference between a great gig and an awesome one.

im not going to leave it so long before seeing them again now.

Aww. Yeah, you never forget your first Wildhearts gig.

Not so sure of that, I first saw them as support to the Almighty back in '93 and can't really remember much about them at all. Didn't know who they were when they came onstage even. Recall it sounding pretty good and the experience leaving me open to my brother telling me "have a listen of this, it's ace". Mind you, got into the Almighty the same way having seen them as Metallica support earlier in the year (93) in Milton Keynes. And then Warrior Soul as Almighty support a year or two later. There's a pattern here somewhere. Maybe I should actually get some Trashlight Vision after they supported Ginger so well in NYC last year or so.

I saw trashlight vision once, remember fuck all about the set really other than every song seemed to contail the word "whoa oh" and it was also the first time i got into the girlfriend ive been with for the longest and best relationship with.

That Almighty tour was my first experience of the Wildhearts too.
Funnily enough, I got into Warrior Soul after they supported Metallica at Wembley Arena

Yup, that was one belter of a gig. Actually liked the fact they played for 1 hour 45 mins without stopping, kept the energy up!

Scott had to be man of the match, he adds a certain youthful exuburence to the band - bouncing around like a loon with mile-wide-smile. He still looks so chuffed to be in the band.

Another mention has to go to Rich, that guy was glue. I loved Stiddi but Rich was just amazing at the Swindon gig.

Asked the guys after if there was any special plans for the Wolves gig as it's on Gingers birthday - Ginger sarcasticly replied "Yeah, we won't turn up!" Good to see they can laugh at their own past exploits what with splits etc.

Anyhoo, bring on Wolves!

Forgot to mention - this whole Ginger depressed thing. The only time he mentioned it at Swindon was in relation to going over to do the American dates, he said he was going to miss us all. Apart from that he seemed in very good spirits.

Also have to mention that the new material they played was immense, it fitted in with the old stuff just great. My favourate part of the whole set was, in fact, Destroy All Monsters. Just fantastic!
