Best bargain Wildhearts gear you picked up

Postby wez_wildheart » 12th Oct 07, 13:04

ok something a but light hearted here so here goes :

whats the best bargain you picked up Wildhearts related

mine, and i swear this is the truth, the Mondo Akimbo white vinly for 3 pints of Carlsberg.

the story behind it was a mate of mine had this for years and knew i wanted it big time. I had offered him £150 for it, after seeing what it has went for in previous years on eBay and Record Collector Magazine. He said, in a drunken daze, if you buy me the next 3 pints i will head up to the house and grab it for you. 3 pints apiece and a taxi to his house and he kept his word!!! i think he was stroked!!! in sobriety he asked did he give me the vinyl. I replied yes and he said ahh just keep it then

so anyone got any mad/bizzare/interesting tales to share with the rest of us

Haha thats great , 3 pints so thats like £6 or something ... Wish I could be that lucky.

I've got no stories or anything , just got addicted to using ebay and hurting my bank account. I'd hate to add up how much i've spent on Wildhearts stuff the past few years.

The most i've spent was for the Moodswings & Roundabouts box set. That was into 3 figures. Oh and my tattoos :D

Best bargin was that Smileybones pin badge I had a few weeks ago , £2 noyce.

Ah Ebay is both my best and worst vice :D

On one hand, it has made me appear poor to a homeless man when I couldnt even afford a 35p pack of crisps for my mate from a vending machine, but on the other it has helped me build up a Wildhearts collection to rival any fan three times my age :D

As far as bargins, hows aboot a mint promotional 12" of the Tv Ep for £1.64 (thanks to a lazy seller on Amazon who couldnt even be bothered to check the value of his listings), the one sided 12" Turning American promo for £3.99, the Fishing for More Luckies tape for £1.50 from a record store in St Helens, the Anthem and Urge red box promos for £3.99 for the pair, sealed japan versions of Must Be Destroyed, RARAMFR, and Endless Nameless for a fiver each and my strangest ever bargin....origonal fanclub Fishing For Luckies cd and Fishing For More Luckies cd for a fiver the pair in a "£3 each, or two for £5" offer on a market in Skegness!!! :D

Oh and of course my greatest Wildhearts bargin was getting to appear in the New Fleash vid and hanging out and chatting to all the band and their familys all day for free!!! :D :D

Sorry if I appear smug or anythin, Im just a very lucky, very dedicated and very grateful fan :)

The Japanese import of Anthem : The Single Tracks ( complete w/all the extra Japanese stuff in there ) for $5.99 in Pittsburg, Kansas.

I also saw the band in Columbia, Missouri in 2004 for a dollar.

well i can't remember the individual prices, but i got wildhearts must be destroyed, coupled with, and a coupla recent therapy? albums for a total of £12 inc. p+p, from sellers on amazon. all were new and in the packaging.
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!
