Bands You'd Love To Hear Cover The Wildhearts...

Postby sonicshake » 20th Oct 07, 12:21

Thought I'd turn this whole covers album thing on it's head. What band would you want to cover The Wildhearts and which song?

I'd love to hear Steve Earle & The Dukes do 'Bad Time To Be Having A Bad Time'. Think they'd do a blinding version of that!

No, say more. I'm a Crowes fan but I don't recall any of their songs sounding like Nothing Ever Changes.

I think the track was called something like Stop Kicking my Heart Around, dunno what album its off but i listened to it once when i got it on a free cd from kerrang then a few weeks later Ginger said something along the lines of "Cheeky buggers ripped me song off"

The album's called By Your Side and it's well worth your time if you're curious. Hehe, I love the idea of Ginger being narked because someone's ripping HIM off.

I'd love to hear:-

The Stereophonics - Red Light, Green Light
Manic Street Preachers - Everlone
Prodigy - Anthem
Chemical Brothers - Now Is The Colour (with a guest vocalist)
Cherry Ghost - One Love, One Life, One Girl

I'd also love to hear Wildhearts-related bands covering tunes from Ginger&co for an EP.
perhaps Devin Townsend doing a version of Urge or something from the Endless, Nameless era.

GuitarWolf should do 'My Baby Is A Headfuck' - I'd love to hear what kind of skull-mulching mayhem they'd make of that crescendo.
