Has anyone recovered from the gigs yet?

I got a call at 2am from Mr Wade, during the song Weekend.
All I could make out was he was having a blast and has some stuff he is gonna upload on youtube. Anyone got any more info/pics/vids?

Good shows, both... though my own experience was marred by, at the first show, some apparent damage to the hearing in my right ear and, at the second show, fuckin' earplugs.

Got myself and my daughter some tee-shirts, both the "Destroy All Monsters" shirt.

Chatted with the band both nights, and got it straight from Ritch's mouth that filming for the video to "Destroy All Monsters" has just completed and has an S&M theme. There will also be an accompanying single, according to him.

Some craziness at the last gig between Ginger, Scott and the spikey blonde guitar tech. Ginger, for whatever reason, jumped back abruptly and cracked his amp to full blast, to the apparentl confusion of everyone else. The tech went over and turned it back down, with a look of concern on his face... and Ginger went and cranked it up again. When the tech went to turn it down again, Ginger grabbed his wrist and threw his arm out of the way and cranked back up for the rest of the song, the last song of the set. The tech kind of shrunk back to his corner with his tale between his legs. Then, as the song was wrapping up, Scott went into some theatrical convulsions and ended up on the floor on his back. The tech then, playfully, crouched over his head, earning him a punch in the nuts... and then before I know what's going on, I see a guitar land on Scott's face, only to see Ginger with no guitar. Apparently at the end of the song, Ginger gave his axe a toss and miscalculated the trajectory and gave Scott a nice gash across the bridge of his nose. Everyone seemed good natured outside afterwards though... though the tech wasn't really anywhere.

There's also a little bit of news from our own Seventieslord that I will leave up to him to announce.

Anyway, both of my copies of WH07 are signed by all members of the band, I got a picture with the band (possibly the worst picture ever taken of me), and then another with Ginger and my girlfriend.

Anyway... I've got a shitload of pictures from beside the stage at the second show. I was right beside Scott, so he's at the forefront of just about everything. I've also got video, from the same place, of Destroy All Monsters into Sick Of Drugs. It's shitty video though, and worse audio. Anyway... in case anyone wants the band shots, I can make them all available.

I'd also like to point out that I talked at great length with Scott the first night and a little the second night. He remembered my name and everything. He's a really, really great guy and is an absolute monster of energy on stage. If he, for any reason at all, ends up out of this band, I'm gonna personally give Ginger a stern talking to... because he's the best thing that's happened to this band in years. Because of him, the show was twice what it would have been otherwise.

Here's a shot with a lot of the crowd.

Here's me with the band. I wish my girlfriend Rachael would have told me I looked like such a doofus. I would have stood up straight and had her take another shot. I was leaning way back, and I'm not nearly as that fat as I look. Okay... maybe I am that fat, but normally I hide it a lot better.

And here's Rachael with the band. She's photographs so much better than I do... and clearly the guys enjoyed her company much more than mine.

I just got home. All I can say is that the show on the boat was a riot. Ginger was super happy and chatty. It was very close quarters and the mood and energy were great. It can never get any more fun than that. I mean to say I doubt I'll ever have more fun than that in my life--as much, but not more. Ginger cranked up his amp towards the end, the tech turned it down, Ginger turned it up again. When Ginger chucked the Les Paul at the very end, Scott got hit, and his nose broken (we heard him exclaim). Slightly dramatic accident rocknroll chaos ending.

Great pics.

Nice to see everything is going well in Wildhearts land, rather than the usual fall outs and fuck ups.

Being a reporter, I'm thinking there's something news-worthy for the likes of Kerrang! et al in the Ginger's accidental injury to Scott.

Does anyone else think it would be worth dropping the music hacks an email about it?

I think it was too good of a night to have it's memory tarnished buy the last unfortunate moment. Ginger is probably so sorry he is sick. Why pour salt on the wound?

Oh it wasn't intended to pour salt on the wound, just thinking from a news perspective. But doubt I'd do anything on it because would need a quote from Ginger and Scott as well, which I'm not likely to get being on the other side of the Atlantic.

Anyway, hope Scott's feeling ok and glad the band are rocking the US again and having a fun time too.

I know man. I just think it shouldn't go down in history. BTW, I am trying to upload through Google Destop Uploader a 107MB file of Ritch during Destroy All Monsters, but it keeps restarting. Any suggestions?

go on mediafire.com and upload there, it's much easier.
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!
