Random wrote:It is time to announce the departure of my good friend and honoury Whore, Ginger. For obvious reasons Ginger's availability was always gonna be limited so we have seen fit to organise amore permanent replacement which I'll go into in more detail in exactly thirty-six seconds. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ginger (thanks being in no way a big enough word) for all he has done to help get this project off the ground.Without his involvement and motivation there is every chance that you may never have got to hear the album let alone see us live. To my mind, Ginger has always been very big on urging others to get off their arses and take direct action and I have to say that this has been nothing less than inspirational to me and no doubt to many of you too. For this reason and also 8 years (so far) of friendship, fun and chaos, I'd like you all to join me in wishing Ginger all the best in all of his future ventures. So anyway, this is probably as good a time as any to introduce you to our new bassist/backing vocalist,Chris Catalyst. I've known Chris for a few years now and I cannot stress enough how talented the man is. He's an all round great musician, brilliant singer/songwriter and always brings something to the party. He is a lovely person. He is also the guitarist and bassist in The Sisters Of Mercy and his new band, Eureka Machines. Robochrist has a lot to thank him for. His involvement in this project will see this band grow creatively. We are really lucky to have him on board. Please join me in welcoming Chris Catalyst. Now that THE GOD DAMN WHORES are finally getting relaxed into a new and exciting routine, I, RANDOM JONPOOLE, am in the process of writing songs for the 2nd GOD DAMN WHORES album "INTRODUCING THE WHORES" which promises to showcase the amazing talents of BIG JASE EDWARDS, DENZEL and CHRIS CATALYST and to include awide range of musical styles, complex arrangements, tribal drumming, chanting, harmonies, fun and expert production from JASE EDWARDS whose recording techniques have recently enhanced albums by both GINGER and THE WILDHEARTS. This may all seem rather previous as I am only at this point in time in the writing/demoing process but I have a pretty clear vision of what I want it to become and wanted to share this with YOU. Watch this space....

I have to say I am pretty damn excited to hear that the mighty Wolfsbane will be supporting the Wildhearts! I was hoping there might just be a faint possibility of Wolfsbane doing something after their recent Tamworth gig - which I assume must have gone well?

I was really looking forward to the Astoria gig anyway, but I'm now looking forward to it a lot more!

As well as the bulletin on the God Damn Whores Myspace page, there's this on the page itself:

________________

THE GOD DAMN WHORES SUPPORT CARDIACS! YOUR LOYALTY DEMANDS!!

We are extremely excited to announce that we will be supporting CARDIACS on their forthcoming tour of the UK this coming November.

This has come as a particular surprise to me, RANDOM JON POOLE, as I have had no contact with THE ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN since 2003 when I was ordered to vacate CARDIACS premises and banished to a stint in THE WILDHEARTS.

(I did infiltrate the ranks one time last year but have been forbidden ever to mention it so no details are forthcoming.)

I have now been temporarily welcomed back but must stress NOT with open arms as direct eye contact and verbal pleasantries between myself and THE ALPHABET BUSINESS CONCERN have been postponed indefinitely until further notice leaving us, THE GOD DAMN WHORES, with the vile task of warming up a potentially frosty "crowd" with our jarring poptones.

This is where YOU, the GOD DAMN WHORES FANATIC, come into play.

Here is the dilemma:
The powers that be believe that THE GOD DAMN WHORES have no appeal or mind control over YOU the GOD DAMN WHORES FANATIC.

"How dare they...", I hear you say, "...ridicule our beloved WHORES with slanderous banter and blatant untruths regarding our loyalty to OUR WHORES!"

We need more than ever before for YOU to help us with your most loyal support and to stick it to THE MAN once and for all.

We, THE GOD DAMN WHORES, would like to appeal to you, GOD DAMN WHORES FANATIC, to come and support us by attending said concert performances.

Wherever possible it would be HUGELY appreciated if tickets could be purchased in advance.

This will stop THE MAN from getting twitchy and will keep him securely "in his place".

For all the fortunate CHOSEN ONES who make THE ONLY LOGICAL DECISION to attend, I, RANDOM JON POOLE, will make every effort to meet and greet all GOD DAMN WHORES FANATICS at every performance.

And whyever not? I can't think of anything better than hanging with "the kids" after our opening slot is done, taking in the majesty and charisma of the fantastic CARDIACS in the company of my favourite WHORE FANATICS.

MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN!

Let us drink together, raise glasses and toast US. This is OUR ARMY.

YOUR LOYALTY DEMANDS...

Can't say I'm that thrilled at the prospect of Wolfsbane playing.
I'd rather a current band got the gig or if we must have a support from that era,my choice would have to be Tigertailz or throw in a wildcard like SABBAT!!

I've seen Tigertailz and I've seen Wolfsbane - the latter leave the former for dead. No pun intended - and of course everyone from Wolfsbane is still alive which makes it a more practical proposition...

Pretty much everyone I have spoken to is very excited about seeing Wolfsbane again.

I find it pretty surprising considering some of the things other members said about Blaze when he fucked them over for Maiden's cash...

Regardless of who is supporting, they haven't got a prayer with The Wildhearts currently on such immense form.
I shall use the time that Wolfsbane are on stage at the forthcoming Manchester gig wisely by spending it at the nearly empty bar, swilling Guinness while others indulge in the nostalgia of Blaze and the boys.
And he DID fuck them over for Maidens cash!

yes blaze did fuk them over big style. and yes they are a nostalgia act.

but fuck all that, they were an awesome live band, and on form will run the wildies close.

I for one one will be right up the front at wolves, I never got to see them before and am pissing meself at the prospect.

I dont care if they do a record or not, but onlive performance alone I cant see a better support act out there, hopefully the howling mad shitheads will help sell out the tour.

I saw Blaze with his new band in Camden on Saturday night - I can tell you he is still a fantastic frontman and I think Wolfsbane fans are in for a real treat regardless of all the shit that happened in the past. There were some 'Howling Mad Shitheads' in attendance (including one in a 'Massive Noise Injection' T-shirt) and if what I saw is anything to go by Blaze & Co. will play a blinder!
