I'll be honest man, I'm not sure yet. I think I keep unconsciously wishing that he's write an album that sounds like 'Guitar Town' or Copperhead Road' and get let down when he obviously doesn't! I've only had WSS for a couple of days so I can't really give an opinion on it. All of Steve Earle's albums after 'The Hard Way' I've loved but it's taken a good couple of weeks at least to get my head around the variety of styles.

what are ted maul like? i've seen quite a few articles and a bit of hype about them, but i've yet to hear them, and none of the articles really described their sound in any sort of detail.
