Ginger sold his Silverginger outfit... is that the end of Silverginger 5?
Now his infamous WiLDHEARTS Les Paul has gone on Ebay... is that the end of the Wildhearts?

Even if they never played another show or recorded another song, The Wildhearts are immortal. They've already got their spot in history.

Unless the suit was the main songwriter in SG5, probably not... They've pretty much expanded, mutated and morphed into the Sonic Circus though haven't they?

Then again, now the dreads are gone, he probably just looks a bit of a dick in a platform-soled skintight leather suit. :?

Oh, that one's true. Did you not get the memo?

My guess is he's just thinning things out a bit. There's no point in keeping guitars that you don't play - especially when you're also forking out for storage somewhere. He turns up with a new one for nearly every tour anyway, so they're probably stacking up a bit now.

i doubt theres anything to worry about

as Ean quite rightly said im sure he is probably paying more for storage and could do with making a few bob while he is at it

sure remember Dave Mustaine offloading a shitload of his guitars and a few backdrops a couple of years ago

now why the fuck doesnt my lottery numbers come up

I'm sure the Ginger one is clearing the decks a little he must have a shed-load of guitars.Look at all the shite ones he played on the accoustic gigs a few years ago.I'm sure he said at one gig he kept buying them off eBay for the comedy value and so he could laugh at Hot Steve trying to make them sound half-decent! Remember the shark guitar?
I don't think selling a few bits off is the death knell sounding for The Wildhearts.

I'm sure there is no need to worry about the future of the Wildhearts (although it's tempting fate just saying that!) as a tour is already booked for later this year and we have a new album already recorded for release next year - and there is bound to be a tour to promote that when it's released.

I think the reason Ginger appearing to be flogging so much stuff of is simply to raise some cash. He has two kids to support and surely not much income from music. Plus he's apparently relocating to the USA - meaning he needs money for that and he can't take all the stuff with him so it's easier just to sell it. I'm more worried about him moving to the US than I am about the Wildhearts - for purely selfish reasons - if he's living over 3000 miles away than we are far less likely to see many Wildhearts/Sonic Circus/solo shows in the UK. I spoke to CJ not long ago and he was very optimistic about the future of the Wildhearts and thought they had quite a few albums left in them.

On the other hand, the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill, and Ginger seems to tire of places and move on before long - so maybe he'll be back in time...

I suspect most of the guitars he is selling off he either got free or in cheap promo deals from the makers anyway so he probably doesn't particularly like them or feel very attached to them - hence him sometimes throwing them into the crowd at gigs or smashing them or setting them on fire.
