Oops, sorry. I think it's mostly that we think QOTSA are pretty unremarkable and wouldn't bother to see them in concert. ;)

(Unless Mark Lanegan's touring with them, in which case I'd definitely be going.)

I got tickets for Glasgow on a pre-sale from Gigantic.

And contrary to what you think (although opinions are just that), they are one of the most remarkable acts in the world.
Especially live. First proper UK tour in about 4 years as well!!!!

It's going to be sweet!!!

I love QOTSA, they're probably in my top 10... but (and I know this is a small sample size) I thought their live album was severely subpar.

I saw them back in 2002 , they were really good. I really dont like the new album though , and the bristol date is sold out so I think I'll give it a miss. Pity theres no welsh date.

Anyone caught them on the tour so far??
Glasgow on Wednesday was fucking awesome!!! Got a text as I came out the Academy with the final score from Celtic Park so it turned out to be a doubley great night!!!!

Got a ticket for Edinburgh as well in February, that is going to be wild!!!

Col, I take it the Glasgow Green show you say was the one where Manson and Eminem played? I was at that too, great day, so it was!!!

Ps. I heard the Newcastle show got cancelled the other night, Josh has a chest infection!!!

Pps. The Academy is still a fucking pish venue. I fucking hate it, the bouncers are cunts, it always seems to be over sold, the choice of beer is a fucking disgrace and I wish bands would remember when they come to Glasgow that the finest venue in the world is, what? a mile along the road at the Gallowgate??

I went to the Bristol show. It was great, despite the horrible venue and the fact that Josh clearly isn't very well...

Define "isn't very well"?

Last time I saw them he "wasn't very well" to the degree that he could barely stand up or focus let alone sing or play guitar. The rest of the band were similarly "ill"...

He's had a chest infection and last Thursday's gig was postponed. The Bristol date went ahead and he was excellent but admitted he wasn't that well...
