Did anyone see Machine Head on their tour?

I saw someone wearing a Wildhearts t-shirt at the sunday brixton gig

the boys were on fire (as usual)... good setlist considering they were only on for an hour

i saw arch enemy, dragon force, trivium, machine head

dragonforce, god they were fucking shit. it was like amusing for the first 30 seconds of the first song. sooo old soooo quickly

trivium were, ho hum, they were alright. nothing more than alright.

machine head though, killer!! i agree, should have been on for much longer. and personally, burning red is my fave MH album so gutted to hear nothing off that.

problem was it was billed as 'the black crusade' and trivium/machine head were kinda co-headliners, they seemed to have similar set times. but the whole crowd was blatantly there for MH only.

was near the front in a wildies t-shirt, saw a bloke with a smileybones tattoo. looked cool dude, if you're on here!

I thought their was some guitar playing in Arch Enemy but that woman singer scared me, I wish I could sing as manly as her.

Dragonforce were just comedy.

Was disapointed with Trivium as had heard all this good stuff about them, but just found them very boring.

Machine Head were good but as was said earlier, they weren't on long enough.

Quite like those sorts of gigs though, where you get a chance to watch many bands that you have heard about but would have gone to see them especially.

I was at the Glasgow gig, here's my quick summary:

Shadows Fall: 3/5. Good at what they do but nothing fantastic.
Arch Enemy: 4/5, don't know much of their stuff but really enjoyed em.
Dragonforce: 2/5 and that's generous. When you play guitar like that you need good sound, and they didn't, they could have easily been blagging it cos you couldnt tell what they were playing (which was probably a bit sloppy given how much they were drinkin and jumpin about). Yes it's a bit of fun but it got old very quickly.
Trivium: 4.5/5: 2nd best I've ever seen them (best being Download 05), after some patchy performances they were back on form and kicking ass.
Machine Head: 5/5. Awesome. Best time I've seen them yet. Could have varied the set more instead of playing so many long songs when they were only on for an hour, but it said in last month's Metal Hammer that they might be back in the new year to do a full headline tour of their own, so not too long to wait!
