london hotels

Postby kriscoverdale » 20th Dec 07, 19:23

Hi,

I have friends visiting London in the new year who'd like to grab a cheap hotel for a Saturday night. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts, based on places they've used when staying over in London for WH gigs etc?

Thanks
Kris

Travelodge is always worth a look.I got a triple room at London Farringdon Travelodge when The Sonic Circus did their debut gig at The Garage and it cost £22.Supr-bargain!! The Ibis chain of hotels is worth looking into as well.

Yeah, they're who I've used in the past. Although it's well into march/april before they start offering Saturday night deals.

Do they have a preference about where the hotel is?

central would be better. travellodge looks like 49 for somewhere in wembley / croyden booked soon, 80ish in centre if booked soon.

I'll check out IBIS too.

Sat night unfortunately, so generally expensive i guess

Theres quite a nice B&B in kentish town that I use quite often although I cant for the life of me remember the bloody name at the moment, I think its something like St George or St Michaels, its owned by a mad greek woman who told me off for missing breakfast as it was something a growing lad like me needs, the fact I was 26 at the time and was growing neither upwards nor outwards seemed to pass her by, oh yeah the price last time i stayed was about 20 squiddlies
Did you just say "Pig Flute"?
