Those bastards won't stop till they've got rid of every decent music venue in the capital :x

As for the gig on Friday, it was AMAZING! And it's only the second time I've seen them...I sometimes wish I was at least 10 years older haha, I've missed out on so much!
Did I miss something, or was there any particular reason that they were all wearing pants over their trousers?? Either way, they looked great...I was quite drunk by the end of their set, and I remember screaming in my friend's face, "I want Ginger's pants!"

Ive seen the Wildhearts about 15 times, if not more, since 1996.
Im not saying the played bad the other night - ive only ever seen 1 duff gig out of the 15 and that was at the Shepherds Bush Empire in on the Urge tour.
The band looked out of it and looked bored - now we no they were!!!!

I also met Ginger a few times and have had the pleasure of his company a few times at the bar. He is a very nice bloke.
I first met him when I went to see 3 colours red played 1 of thier 1st gigs at the Garage in Highbury.
me and my mate became well known by the wildhearts and 3 colours red as we followed them everywhere.
then the wildhearts released Endless and split soon after.
Although me and my mate have attended every London gig done by the wildhearts we havent met Ginger and co for a few years now and he probably wouldnt remember us anyway. (why would he? he meets tons of people)
The last time I saw him away from the stage was in Sainsburys car park in Finsbury park - i was helping a friend into the car who had just had his eyes lasered at the eye clinic up the road. I couldnt stop to talk but just said Hi and he replied with a nod.

still on a high from the astoria this saturday just gone, I went to my tattooist to get my half sleeve tattoo finished off and was flicking through the tattooists portfolio which was on the side.
After a few pages i came across a tattoo that was familiar - it was the tattoo on the front cover of "Coupled with"
i asked the tattooist if he knew Ginger and he said that the picture was gingers arm and that he had tattooed Ginger - i was stoked. The guy who has been tattooing me had also tattooed my hero.
The tattooist already knew I was a fan as I was wearing my wildhearts tshirt from the previous nights gig (astoria). He said he didnt know any wildhearts stuff but said that Ginger seemed like a top bloke - apparently ginger still owes him £50!!!

dont know why i am posting all this crap - its 6.46am on Xmas eve and ive woke up wide awake and sooo tired.
have a good Xmas everyone.
Im now looking forward to end of Jan to get Gingers new solo album which ive already pre-ordered !!!

Mind you: Unbroken ISN'T from Endless Nameless, Sir. It's a B-side of their last single...

Bit late posting, but that's what stinking colds, hangovers, Xmas with folks and New Year's in the back of beyond will do to your posting abilities.
I've been to every post-reformation tour (and a load from before Endless Nameless too) and the Astoria on the 21st was without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever seen them do. I enjoyed Koko's in the summer (and I think it's a very cool-looking venue), and Wolves was fun too, but they were both lacking something. Not that they were bad, I've never seen the 'Hearts do a bad show - but Friday was incendiary. I had a huge grin on my face for days, even through fevers, colds and hangovers.
It was also great to meet up with people beforehand again, some new, some veteran. As ever I've forgotten a load of names (but each time I remember more faces), but particularly nice to spend the gig with Ean, and to see Ila, Rob, Nick, Damian et al again. Cheers for making a blinding gig even better.
Wouldn't you know, just thinking about it now, that grin's back again :D

It was nice to see you, but I apologise for it being so brief and relatively accidental. Will try and make the proper meetup next time. The end of 2007 was highly chaotic for me and not in the best of ways. Here's to sorting things out in 2008!

Great to see you guys too. :D

Cool to sort of meet you at the end too, Damian. :)
