just got a load more of their cds off amazon, delivered today. i'm about 2 away from the whole discography. it's remarkable how little filler there is too, their albums are genuinely fucking solid as good songs go.

and is anyone else up for petitioning speedo and the lads to reform RFTC?!

oh btw, if anyone's interested, or just bored and looking for something to read, i've just posted a review of one of the RFTC reissues on sputnikmusic (a review site i write for):

http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=24159

i've also reviewed a coupla wildies CDs, if you click on my username at the top of the page, it'll take you to my profile where my reviews are listed.

i should add that it's a really good music review community, and definitely worth joining for anyone who even remotely dabbles in a bit of album reviewage.

Thanks for the info, Spoon. May get that when I'm a bit more flush. I have State Of...and both of All Systems Go! but there's a strong completist streak within me! I was on my knees thanking God when Hot Charity and Cut Carefully And Play Loud were rereleased a couple of years ago as I thought I'd never get them.

If you need any help in your campaign to get RFTC to reform, you can count on me!

Just got the New Album RIP

Which is a live cd & dvd of the last rftc performance in san diego

Quality stuff, did these boys ever release a dud track ???

Speedo gets hit in the face with a plastic toy Gun 1/2 way through 'jumper k. balls (what a name for a song) breaking bones in his cheek, but barley misses a beat and continues to rock out the rest of the gig

I demand a reunion tour immidiately
I Wanna take this knife and jam it right through your heart
I Wanna tear your fucking world apart !!!

I'll second that!
Don't think it'll happen though. Didn't one of em jion Offspring or something?
Was lucky to see em live a few times. Last time was when they finished the Leeds Fest back in 2001. If there's one band I'd love to reform they'd be the one.
Currently listening to Circa Now. SUPERB album.
And am hoping for the RIP cd/dvd to drop through my letterbox soon.

atom (willard, the drummer), who left after the "RFTC" album in 99, joined the offspring, and then angels and airwaves (WHY THE FUCK?!), and then left the offspring.

R.I.P. is pretty awesome, i've only listened to a few tracks so far, and none of the DVD yet, but so far so good!

Pretty decent beginers gude but dosent include Guilt Free, Shucks, Pity Yr Paws, Jumper K Balls, Pigeon Eater or I Wanna Know What I Wanna Know which is a shame for people who may read this and bypass these gems

Only Rocket releases I dont own is the new comp The Name Of the Band Is... as I already own 90% of the tracks and Paint as a Fragrance which I REALLY REALLY want after hearing the stunning Velvet Touch and Franch Guy on RIP :(

Incidently, I wholeheartedly recammend RIP to anyone on here as one of the best live albums Ive ever heard :D Magnificant from start to finish and Im not afraid to say that all the 'mock' funeral march music at the end of the DVD is actully pretty emotional and a fitting testiment to them. Plus its worth buying just for Speedo's sleeve notes which are hillarious in places...
