just a week or so i got ugly kid joe the collection on cd because i only had their stuff on cassette. they were a great band.

Yeah they were brillient in every respect, song writing, musicianship, balls out rock attitude. Shame I was a bit yound at their height, some of the songs on Menace or masterpieces. I also have Motel California but I haven't been able to really give it a chance, it seemed quite dull, a bit of a dirge.

Quality album, and it's just reminded me that i loaned mine out about 4 years ago and i miss it, production's lovely on it. Shame they never managed to get the follow up done - unless anyone knows of any demo's of songs from the second album?

Did it all end quickly because of the Stranglers?

I'm not sure, I've had about 3 copies as I keep lending it and not getting it back. I have no idea where my current copy is. I've no idea what happened to them, they did a cover of some song or other then vanished.

The cover they did was Go Your Own Way which came out on the EG label, I have the album both singles and a promo, they're all excellent to say the least I'd also like to know what happened to Kev and Baz Warner who where the borthers cuz we met up once or twice when they where touing and they where top blokes.
Did you just say "Pig Flute"?

Baz is or was touring as singer with the Stranglers as far as I know, he did the Norfolk Coast album i think.
That must have come about after they supported they stranglers.

Don't suppose you'd have a list of those tracks? :D

I wasn't especially championing ...ATHTRIO, I only mentioned it as being a right pain in the arse to get hold of. I found it odd seeing as it was a major label release when their earlier TwinTone stuff was dead easy to get - and it was only that album that I never ever saw on CD in this country. This is going back a bit now before t'internet was everywhere and you could sell yer granny on eBay.

Lucky bugger, mine cost about 3 grand, all in.

I've not come across it since either. Sod's Law says as soon as you've bought something you'll find it (and probably cheaper), but I check the racks in record shops, and nothing...

Ta for the list. :D

My turn...........

5 much loved and forgotten about/long lost classics (altho the SLF one is still readily available):-

SLF - Inflammable Material (they were the first band I ever truly loved and I hadn't played it for about 5 years. But, have been playing it to death recently - a classic debut),

The Grip - Be Yourself (managed to get one off ebay for £8 a coupla months back, ripped a copy and sold it back on ebay for £32 - result)!!!!

5:30 - Bed,

Sunlounger - Some is Good (as Alan Partridge might say "the band that G.U.Medicine could of been"),

Johnny Zhivago - Some of The People, all of the Time (as good as Zen Motel and Vicious Cabaret are JZ were better - much better).
Old enough to know better, Young enough not to give a rats arse.........
