Ginger Best Of

Just for fun. Make up a compilation cd of Ginger's work from his different bands. Your fav tracks. Say a 10 track compilation. 2 tracks each from The Wildhearts, Clam Abuse, SG5, Ginger (Solo) and Sonic Circus.
We'll class Valor as a Sonic Circus album although it's credited as a solo cd.
Just imagine you are trying to do a cd for someone who's never heard of Ginger's work.
It's extremely tough I know to just pick 10 tracks, but here's mine.
1. Suckerpunch.
2. Sky Babies.
3. She's So Taboo.
4. Ther's Always Someone More Fucked Up Than You.
5. Sonic Shake.
6. The Monkey Zoo.
7. I'm A Lover Not A Fighter.
8. Reinventing The Wheel.
9. The Man Who Cheated Death.
10. The Drunken Lord Of Everything.

i think the ratios are a bit wrong there!
2 out of 10 clam abuse tracks compared to 2 out of ....... lots of wildhearts songs!

Very true but a Ginger compilation could well make agreat album that pisses all over any band that Kerrang or NME plugs.

Have 3 WH and 1 Clam track then... It just goes to show how good the CA album was that you can pick two to stand up with the other stuff he's done.

Can't do it meself as I don't know any Ginger solo tracks and didn't like Clam Abuse much. A good idea would be if there was a double cd set spanning Ginger's entire career, mind. I think Sanctuary did something along those lines recently with Lemmy. The Best Of Wildhearts album I don't think is well put together and it's a bit old now.

Aaaarrgghh. Of course, how could I forget that. Make it 12 tracks then. So my 2 from SS666 would be Fast One and Star War.

Simply way too hard...

i would put Starwar on tho :)
and probably something along these lines:

Crying over nothing
yeah, yeah yeah
And this time i'm serious
Sonic shake
chruch of the broken hearted (off grievous acoustic)
Dangerlust
Just in Lust
Last bastard in heaven
mother city
starwar
One less heartache

pfft...too hard, not a clam abuse fan either really, never been able to get into the album cept a couple of tracks

In fairness even a lowly talentless idiot like me pisses all over most bands NME plug.
Isn't it ironic that not many people know the meaning of the word esoteric?
