Curioser and curioser, I hate to be the party wrecker an' all that but I dont have high hopes for this one at all and its rare for me to say something like that about a wildies release, do we have any word on this on whether its an official release or someones gone behind Gingers back to do this?

Yeees... cheapo best of most likely. If you google Rhino, "The Wildhearts" and "The Works", there's nothing official-looking found. I had asked myself from the beginning why Rhino would issue a compilation for an act that's virtually unknown in the US outside a cult following, but it would've been nice, and the Warner link is there. Well, whatever, we'll probably get NEW WHs material this year, and that's preferable to both.

I'm impressed that, even though it states the number on the cover shot, Amazon still managed to get the CD count wrong...

Shame it was mostly a waste of plastic and time...

I couldn't disagree more, but now's not the time to get into that.

I'm with you, Ross. Solid album including one of the best songs they ever recorded in 'Bleeding Me' as far as I'm concerned.

I like the picture, but given the line-up involved I'm guessing this is people involved with the Gut records era knocking together whatever they've got the rights to put out? A bit like the Kuro Neko stuff from the EastWest era...

I don't know. Just a guess. I doubt the band approved it or Ginger would probably have mentioned it on the tour.

So basically itll be a rehash of Must Be Destroyed, Coupled with and some knock off live show then? possibly Geordie in Wonderland.

Bloody hell why am I being so cynical all of a sudden?

You gonna let us tape it all on C-90 cassettes so we can draw our own better covers?
