All the talk about The Works and the b-sides that are or arent on it has given me an idea that I thought I may put forward.
Now it is a bit of a far fetched one I admit when really given some thought but those of us who used to be fullyfledged Listees when it was still in it's infancy will remember the F.T.B.O* fund for Damo and I thought that was a bit far fetched but we managed it and this is where a similar idea comes into play.
How's about if someone was to set up a fund and we all chipped in a couple of quid here or there and see if we could raise enough cash to buy the rights to the East/West era b-sides and then hand them over to Ginge so the b-sides album that everyone truly wants to see can come to fruition and be put out on Round Records.
I know most of us have them and the idea really would be for the completists in all of us but if they where to charge 9.99 or round abouts for the album those of us who chipped in could have their share knocked off the final asking price, obviously not all of it as the label would still have to pay out to get the disc and artwork printed and its only fair they make some money from it finally as Ginger wrote those songs years ago and never really saw any money from them.
Infact depending on how well this idea is recieved I may even email the fella meself and ask what he thinks?
WIth it being 15 years since Earth vs came out I think the b-sides album it would be the perfect companion for it even if they're not packaged together.
