the song that sums up your life : Alcoholic Bulimia by Sack Trick

Hey Pauly,
Welcome to the board - just recently signed up myself.

Nice to see you're a Sack Trick fan, I thought I was the only one.

I reckon that Chris Dale will only get the recognition he deserves after his demise.

By the way, all your other favourites are top notch too!!

Nope, I am one too so that makes at least 3 of us. Got all 3 albums. I wish they'd do more!

Blimey, we'll have to start another thread :D

As above, where & when have you seen them, what do you think of them and how did you get into them :D

I'll start...

I've only seen them once in Glasgow around 2004, can't remember the exact date. Twas awesome tho 8) I first listened to them when I was at a party and was suitable drunk enough to find "The turd that just wouldn't flush" funny.

I hope to catch them live again, but as they only seem to play Sweeden and London its looking like it might not happen...

Er, I'm struggling to remember actually! Probably got into them via Rachel Stamp, saw them a few times around 2000/2001 when I was living in London. Most memorably I saw them upstairs at the Garage when they were supported by Claire of Antiproduct before she was in Antiproduct. Bought the CD at the gig and I think my other half has had it in his car ever since. He loves penguins on the moon, I prefer mystery rabbits.

Dudley JB's, late '90's.

Only went to see Clam Abuse and Tyla.

Didn't even know there were going to be any other support acts.

Got to the venue later than we intended. Walked in whilst Sack Trick were doing what they do.

All I remember (after all, I was very, very drunk :D ) is walking into the big room and a band that looked like KISS were onstage coming to the end of a very mellow, loungey-type rendition of Love Gun.

I've seen KISS before, but I thought "how fucking cool was that?".

They only played one more song - I think - but that was enough to send me charging up to the merch. stand where I bought Mystery Rabbits and signed myself up for the mailing list.

Managed to get Chris Dale and all the others to sign my CD.

Check this out.

Found out a month later that my brother used to share a flat with Robin Guy, and that he (Robin) would have known who I was if I had introduced myself, and he would have happily got me backstage at the gig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swore I would never drink again.

Bloody lager.
