But... this collection has more music (210 mins worth) with better sound quality than the Japanese 2 cd hits set or the Moodswings box!

Ah man, I hate it when people skimp on the packaging! Ok I am biased - I work in graphics and I want to see something good - but seriously, what's the point in just throwing something together? It does make a difference. I have that Japanese 2CD set and it's great to be able to see the hand-written notes about each song, to see pictures you've not seen elsewhere, just to see the song names spelt correctly would be a start!
People are cutting back all over the shop on the packaging of the physical format, but that's one of the whole benefits of the physical format and if you want people to buy CDs rather than downloads that's going to be one of the main areas to concentrate on.

I might get this anyway after what's been mentioned about the sound quality, but I won't be rushing to get it in any kind of hurry cos I already have all the songs. If you said that the packaging was something to write home about then I would have already parted with my cash.

As an American (and I'll admit, somewhat newbie... since 2002) fanatic... I'm quite stoked about this set... artwork be damned.... Getting all those B-sides and early EP tracks is worth the price for me... It should be here tomorrow. :)

I've already got most the songs on there, but I bought it anyway as it's still pretty good value for money and fills a few gaps in my collection. OK, the packaging is pretty bland and uninaginative, and the single picture is from a later era that isn't even featured on the album - but I'd still say it's a very good introduction to the band and I'm sure it will lead to some more people discovering the Wildhearts. Obviously there are one or two of the best songs from the pre-split era missing, but nearly all the best of the pre-reformation era is on there - of course you can't get everything on just 3 CDs.

I think it's a good thing that it's been released. OK - it's poor if the band won't get any money from it. But they wouldn't have got any money if it wasn't released either, and this way I'm sure it will lead to some new people discovering and liking the band who will go on to buy gig tickets and more recent and future releases. So that has to be a good thing doesn't it? :D

"Mistake ridden insert"?

Where?

OK it's purely a bland song list with some credited to "Walls" and some to "Ginger", but where's the mistakes?
