Postby Kyukyuichi » 2nd Jun 08, 20:55

Has everyone received this info (CD version)? I think tracklisting for CD issue has been changed a bit....(compare with Japanese issue)

The Wildhearts Stop Us If Youve Heard This One Before Vol1 CD
(Round Records ROUND014-2) Release Date : 07/July

Tracklisting:

01. AC Rocket (Foil)
02. Geez Louise (The Unband)
03. Understanding Jane (The Icicle Works)
04. The World Comes Tumblin (The Distillers)
05. Unsung (Helmet)
06. Waiting Room (Fugazi)
07. Ice Hockey Hair (Super Furry Animals)
08. Possum Kingdom (Toadies)
09. Pep Talk (The Descendents)
10. Rocket 69 (The Lee Harvey Oswald Band)
11. Battleship Chains (Georgia Satellites)
12. Rearrange You (Baby Chaos)
13. Everyday Formula (Regurgitator)
14. The Judge (Soul Asylum)
15. Carmelita (Warren Zevon).

The 15 track album "Stop Us If You've Heard This One Before Vol 1" is a collection of covers from some of The Wildhearts favourite bands, and will mark the first time that each member of the band has taken on lead vocal duties on a Wildhearts release.

Ginger comments:

"The laws that govern success in the music industry would lead you to believe that the best music is the most popular music, and this is patently untrue.I can't wait until we can bring you volumes 2 through to 5000, to prove beyond any sane doubt that the best music is what resonates with you personally, how ever many copies it has sold worldwide."

The album features a diverse range of tracks, from artists including The Distillers, The Icicle Works, Fugazi, Helmet, Soul Asylum & The Decendents.

The Wildhearts will be appearing at Download on June 15th with shows also confirmed at the Tattoo Jam on August 2nd in North Wales, The Bulldog Bash on August 9th and Hard Rock Hell II on December 6th.

The band round of the year performing a special concert to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of the release of 'Earth Vs The Wildhearts'. The show will be at Shepherds Bush Empire, London on Saturday 20th September and will feature 'Earth Vs...' performed live in its entirety, along with all of the b-sides from that era.

The Wildhearts also release a DVD filmed by the Cardiacs Tim Smith scheduled for release later in 2008.

So all I can say is go to Cargo's website to buy your copy on 7th / July....

Thanks for that Emmo. Just ordered my copy too. Way cheaper than the Eil.com link I posted.
I wonder if Cargo version will have the T Shirt included?

Ahhhh, so my quandary that I posted a few weeks ago about what the difference in the 2 Japanese versions is finally solved!!!!

Probably worth £18 then!!!!

Not that I can't see the band issuing it through their merchandise section!!

Cool design!

I was expecting just the album artwork stuck on a tee but at least this is a bit creative :D

One problem - Cos its Japanese is it gonna arrive in size XX Small and fit me like a bra? I hope not! Heres praying for a nice, general, universal Large :)
Fingers crossed!

Oh, an boxset? Might actually be worth £25 after all....

I want to know what's on the DVD. Live footage? The recording of the last album?

I think it's most likely to be the Live In The Studio thing that the Revolution... video was taken from.
