After being in falmouth for a week without it, I got home and immediately went and bought it. As i'd heard only 1 of the songs covered prior to actually getting this, it was pretty much like having a new original disc.

Favourites are Understanding Jane (which i liked so much that my band are now covering it) and Ice Hockey Hair (Which my band didn't like so we're not covering it). Was really impressed with Ritch's vocals, as well as Scott's, and only Battleship Chains an World Comes Tumblin' are below par. IMO

Also thought the commentaries for each song were nice and how cool is Scott's spoken word bit in The Judge?!
and just last week as i was clearing shit from off my shelf...

bought the actual disc the other day - i never really listen to downloaded stuff as thoroughly as i listen to CDs and a lot of the more simple straight-ahead rockers (Rocket 69, battleship chains etc.) had kinda passed me by the first time, but i realised it's a fuckign solid disc - not a bad one on there!
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!

Yeah it's nice that you get to read all their commentaries on each track, you get 4 points of view on each one. Scott's spoken word bit is great, I didn't feel like I really knew anything about him before this came out but now I'm impressed.

Two stars in this month's Q. I don't care about the star rating but I thought what they wrote was a bit offensive. Stuff about them being low down the evolutionary ladder or something, and also saying they had never really done anything of note... from a magazine that gave 4 stars to P.H.U.Q. and Endless Nameless (don't know what they gave Earth Vs...)

Didn't Q (or its readers) recently vote an Oasis album as the greatest album of all time? Enough said really.

It was ostensibly the readers, but it was a major vote hijacking orchestrated by my mate who works for Oasis.

I think I once proclaimed that "Stop Us...." could be my second least favorite WH album. Well, truth is I now am totally hooked. They absolutely own "Understanding Jane" and "Rocket 69". Hopefully they'll play some of this stuff live during the December tour.....not that I'll get to witness any of it! :x
