It happens every time, people rant on about no North East date but itl probably get added to the tour at a later date like it has been done in the past. Do you really think Ginger wouldnt want to play a gig in his home town?

Even if they dont it doesnt mean they dont wanna play Newcastle ( or any north east for that matter ) it might be matters out of thier hands. Booking a tour isnt as easy as "right lets do a 10 date tour and play Newcastle, Mancherster, London..... etc" youve gotta look at whether or not the venues they could play are free. Maybe the Academy is fully booked around the time of the tour and they are probably too big to do the University now.
But i wouldnt start saying "Fuckin hell, no Newcastle or North East date again!" until about a month before the tour.

Barrowlands...ya Dancer :D

My favourite venue. Not been there for a while so can anyone tell me if it's one of the 10 o clock curfew places? As much as i like the Carling Academy last year was cutting it very fine for the last train to Ayr.

Err, yeah you seem to have mis understood my entire post. Or am i mis understanding you? What i was trying to say is to the people who go on about there being no North East date, chances are itl get added at a later date. Such as on the last two occasions and probably several other times in the past.

I like it when a band I love doesn't play my hometown. It means I get to organise a little expedition!

So Bristol to 'Ammersmif it is this time, then. Excellent.

yay, this is exciting! hammersmith apollo is about 2000 capacity, similar to shepherd's bush empire, but not as grand a venue. s'all good though, so will be booking tickets :)
Control, we have a code 5. He is small, orange and has a broken fin. Yes, he's a fish.

Oh, OK. I always thought Hammersmith Apollo was bigger than Shepherd Bush / Brixton Academy. It is a wicked venue though, seen loads of great shows there!

There, there, I'm sure you've got the deepest sympathies from all us non UK fans that usually won't get a glimpse of the Wildies without boarding a plane.
