I didn't mind that, seemed to give him the chance to speak which is odd in lairy interviews.

I'd never heard of the show before now, to be honest. Fox News has a certain reputation, as well, that makes this seem (to me, anyway) like an uncharacteristic sort of thing for them.
The show begins with Gutfeld's introduction of his guests, usually with either couched or explicit sexual inferences about each of them, often double entendres. The show is peppered with such inferences, sometimes including obscene imagery.

I can't say I'm entirely surprised you've never heard of it. I wouldn't imagine that even the most persistent of insomniacs are watching FoxNews at 3am when the show goes out.
From the show's Wiki :-The show begins with Gutfeld's introduction of his guests, usually with either couched or explicit sexual inferences about each of them, often double entendres. The show is peppered with such inferences, sometimes including obscene imagery.
What's not to like!?
Doesn't Fox have the reputation as being watched by people who believe whatever Rupert Murdoch tells them? In which case, having been told that they're one of the best bands in the last 4000 years, we can clearly expect a huge popularity surge in the US as people rush out to buy the entire back catalogue... possibly.
According to his bio, the presenter seems to have spent some considerable time working in the UK, so it's not inconceivable that he already knew of the band.
