2 hours of trying and no leeds ticket
i bet a large portion of ticket sales tonight were by dirty scumbags wanting to make a few quid by selling them on ebay - theres a shit load on there already

i really hope they do something about this next year

If they could move Audioslave and Feeder to the day Pearl Jam are playing, it might be worth it. But as it is, it's not.

Aye, saw a massive queue outside HMV in Leeds yesterday - had no idea what they were doing there...line up doesn't look particularly awe inspiring.

I got Reading tickets.

And I've got the local Travelodge too! Love camping at festivals... except for Reading.

Aye the line up is fucking shit! I was gutted at first when i couldnt get a weekend ticket then the next day i suddenly thought "hang on, the line up is shite anyway!"
Reading and Leeds is just turning into a dull Indie festival. Not like the good old days!
I remember Leeds 2000. Now that was a fucking good line up!

The sheer demand to spend a weekend in a field with a shower of obnoxious student cunts who are wankered on the first sniff of cheap soapbar astounds me.
The whole festival scene has killed itself by charging more and more money for less and less in return to the humble punter.
Mean Fiddler want fucking for this years Leeds/Reading line-up and still it sells out in seconds, maybe due to the abscense of Glastonbury this year but it seems that if you stick a few wank bands in a field it's easy money to be had for the promoter.
Take my advice people, vote with yer feet and fuck off to Europe.Search out the continental festivals and be amazed by quality line-ups and value for money.

I don't know. I agree that the camping area is a nightmare - I'm in the local Travelodge this year, and I LIKE camping (even at festivals) anywhere else.

But I really like what has been announced so far for the most part. My theory is this - although The Wildhearts are a rock band, Ginger is clearly a man totally in love with pop and this is obvious in their music. So I see them as the middle of the line (NOT the middle of the road), where some fans' other tastes in music go popwards and other are more in it for the metal. And if it's the latter, the current Reading bill (which is barely a fifth of the bands) is not going to do it for you. Whereas if you're a Franz Ferdinand nut like myself, it's looking good so far.

It's pretty bad how much the price has gone up this last few years, but sadly they know they'll get away with it because of demand. Pfff.

Pearl Jam should not be allowed to enter the UK. Eddie Vedder is a puss. The twat actually used to rip on Nirvana.

I liked the first record, but then Eddie's head got very large very fast.

Nirvana were overrated and always will be. Pearl Jam were the best of the 'grunge' bands (WTF is that anyway, they were all so different) as they allowed themselves to grow and mature... Vs is one of the best albums of the 90s, and No Code, Vitalogy and Yield are also absolutely top. I like the direction they took with the last few albums and am looking forward to the new one... Still can't justify going to Reading, hell-hole of hell-holes, just to see them though.
