I've met Danny once and he was absolutely lovely. I've also spoken to Ginger briefly once... that's about it. I'm not really a 'hang around venue after gig' type...

I met Ginger at an acoustic show in Leicester... At the same time I met Jon Poole, who was ace! I met Danny and the rest of the YoYos when they played Leicester back in the day and we went drinking in Alcatraz after. Danny unfortunately was wasted, but I spent the evening chatting to Tom, who was a top bloke. I've also met Alex Kane and all the rest of Antiproduct and have scary pictorial evidence!!!

You're only really ancient if you actually call it Sector 5.

I was lucky enough to spend a weeks works experience at Kings Music in Sunderland when Danny worked there before he joined The Wildhearts. If I remember rightly he was in Energetic Krusher at the time, and they were due to play in Hartlepool. Spent the whole week trying to persuade him that Monkey Suits would be funny! :)

Ritch called me a bugger once.

It was at JB's in Dudley when they played there as a three piece. Before the age of affordable mobiles, the big red phone box in the reception area used to get pretty heavy traffic - especially on this night as the world and it's mother was on the phone telling all its mates to get down there and see the WH for a quid! Ritch stepped out after finishing one call, turned to get back in for another one but I'd beaten him to it...

Oh and Ginger gave me a dirty look at the Ilford Island gig... :?

Said hi to Danny at JB's too, then promptly fell down the stairs due to lack of attention - luckily only the t-shirt guy witnessed my glorious dismount. Arse...

I suck at meeting famous people. :(

Col,
Thanks for putting me right mate, I arrived at Ku Klub at 10 past 7 on the night, found the place closed, went and had a few beers here and there, got in when the last support band was on, that was when I said hello to Stidi.
I did ask on the Yahoo list who the support bands were that night, never got an answer, so assumed it was the cardiacs as there was no advertising or nowt.
Not that I would have known the Cardiacs if they'd been on stage as I ain't heard nowt by em.

On that subject I went to see Fear factory at Newcastle Uni last week, Burton told us about last time they were there they were supported by Strapping Young lad!!!!!, all this time and I didn't know I'd seen Devin for the first time.

And, yes, Col, it would be cold mate, it was late November!!!! hahahaha

We'd already bought tix for Sheffield Leadmill so it was a bonus when they played Sunderland.

We too were wandering around Sunderland aimlessly loooking for Ku Klub only to find it closed. Hit a bar opposite and met some other Wildies fans.

I chatted to Stidi at back of the room near the PA. Was a decent night altogether but gig was over fairly quickly.
