I just have to say, someone has to form a band called Riff Jihad. Like, NOW. And if no-one will, I'll do it. And WO gets royalties for thinking that one up!
It also occurs to me that the Wildhearts have so many ex-members kicking around you could plausibly make a Wildhearts Mk. 2 and actually have a Wildhearts Vs. The Wildhearts gig. Stidi on drums, Danny/Random on bass, Jef on guitar and seeing as Ginger singing for both would be cheating, you could get Willie Dowling in (With Devin Townsend singing the heavy stuff, just cause we can) . How would THAT be for a night?
Anyway, back on topic - I agree it's the music that makes the name so good. On its own it sounds kind of drippy (I certainly thought so when I first heard it), but as soon as you listen to the music it just... fits. Like others have said, I can't imagine any other name for them.
