Tim Westwood. Mid 50s, son of a bishop. How very 'gansta' of him.

Prick.

shootings are pretty big in the hiphop community right?

If anyone said this about Ginger, you'd all (rightly) be up in arms.

Have you ever watched Pimp my Ride UK?

P.S. I'm being facetious, I wish no ill to the man. I only want him to go away and be quiet, as I wish to happen to all annoying people.

I know absolutely nothing about Hippity-Hop - and I make no apologies for that - but I am surprised that the "community" thinks he's great, given that he is so obviously a fake.

It'd be a lot less embarrassing if someone just locked this thread, wouldn't it?

westwood is a classic example of someone being overtaken by their own media image. he was massively infuential in bringing hip hop to these shores (good or bad), was massively respected by virtually all hip hop artists - every rap album of the late eighties early nineties name checks him. but these days he is becoming a caricature of himself. modern westwood is like a cartoon westwood - everything is an over exaggeration of his previous personality, like some sort of bad harry enfield sketch.
which is a little ironic considering he keeps banging on about keeping things real
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

Actually I quite enjoyed the elderly hip-hop broadcasters gags in the last Harry & Paul series. But I don't think those were aimed at Westwood.

I should've put an emoticon in there to show a mild bit of irony.
Yet even with my lack of knowledge of this genre, I still know a fake gangsta when I see one.
