The pinch? I'm assuming you mean the credit crunch?

I'll believe there's a credit crunch/recession happening when there are no more fucking nail bars in the highstreet...............and I think I've already said that on here somewhere before.

there just seems a glut of gigs at the wrong time of the year . altho the almighty tour suffered froma abd promoter the costs can't have helped . priest , metallica and ac/dc tours on sale at same time could have hurt peoples budgets for smaller showx - and if the WH wnated to do biogger venues this time they could have been hoping for new fans who might have ahd to prioritse them shows .

They should have released new material to coincide and palyed a gig in Newcastle too. I could afford the gig and beer but not the travel to any of the other venues.

While I'd love to see them back in the Civic (or even the Academy), I think that it might have been wiser to wait until there's something new out.

We had been asked not to say anything about this yet, as they were planning on seeing how sales went this week before making a decision, but if they're phoning around (has anybody else had a call?) it seems someone has made it already.

Just had the same text, things are not looking good, does anyone else think its something to do with the promotion company they've used cuz didnt the Almighty have to cancel their December tour for lack of promotion or something and it was the same company our boys are using??

That was the Wulfrun - The one 'round the back of the Civic.

are you sure? i just google-mapped directions to the wulfrun from the train station, and it's a 25 min walk away from the town centre... not that google's always the best source, but it's been reliable for me so far...
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!

Yep, very sure! Been there loads of times.

The black line leads to the Wulfrun from the nearest free carpark (after 6PM)
