I had a brilliant time last night. It's my first time (I can remember) seeing them and walking out of the venue just felt like a kid coming off a roller coaster ride, "I wanna go again!!"

Which is funny cos I hate roller coaster rides :?

Anyway, bloody good gig that saw me digging out P.H.U.Q this morning to listen to Caprice again.

Enjoyed A, even though I wasn't expecting to, and you've not lived unless you've seen the Bee Gees metal tribute band

Sorry I can't construct a more coherent sentence, I'm still far too giddy!!!

A first class evening of no nonsense ear splitting good time rocknroll. Great support from Tragedy, who got the mood elevated, and A, who were superb last night, and funny with it.
A good mixed set from across the lifespan of the band, lots of smiling and humour, with Ginger breaking into a Ted Chippington=esque standup routine. Nice to see the loopy Ian McNabb on for Understanding Jane.
I took a young colleague with me for his first taste of the Wildhearts live. After the mid-set Carmelita, Suckerpunch, Caffeine Bomb section, he turned to me and said "this is a assault......with tunes". His final verdict "Awesoe". Which is about right.

Oh, and met VickyP and her charming fella in person at last, which was the cherry on a beautifully iced cake.

Hello! I just got back to lovely old leeds. Nice to meet you hoodedclaw!

We arrived later than I'd intended (don't we always) so just caught the last few songs of Tragedy, however I did pick up the album and have a chat with them after - that glitter gets everywhere!

A were excellent last night, could have done with a set double that length now they are back on form. There were quite a few A t-shirts in the crowd last night, good to see them get a welcome reception. Ginger was watching them from the wings too.

I thought Manchester was much better than Sheffield, mainly for being in a larger venue where you could actually see, the atmosphere was a lot better too. Quite a mixed bag of a set list, the major addition being Caprice, which was easily my favorite part of the night :D

Also I must give some brownie points to my poor long suffering fella, who offered to hold my handbag for me during Suckerpunch and ended up with it for the rest of the night. Bless.

Just been sorting out my photos - here's one of Tragedy for the necessary penguin comparison:

You can also make out CJ lurking at the back.
I wish I knew where they got those guitars!

Also noticed that Ginger, Scott and Ritch were all wearing the same T-shirts that they were wearing early that morning at HardRockHell. Either they have got a job lot of them or I really wouldnt like to smell them after 2 consecutive gigs in them!

Ginger: New York City mud coffee
CJ: the wildhearts (not band related I presume)
and Ritch: it's all fun till etc

all wore the same t shirts in Glasgow as they had in Sheffield, so yeah, I'd not particularly like to step into the dressing room while the steam was rising off them
